Red Pupil Stare

I love making the eyes be the focus of my art pieces, which I sometimes like to accentuate by leaving out other facial features. In this case, her arms, mouth and nose were all distracting from the main focus, her red bright eyes. I decided to remove all these features and keep ths shading of the body very simple, so that the vieuwer is instantly drawn towards her eyes due to the contrast. The whole piece is very light and desaturated, except for her pupils.

For this drawing I did not use line-art in a traditional way, I instead used my sketch and cleaned it up using the eraser to create the final art piece. I like doing this because it creates variation in line width.

While drawing this I just wanted to let my creativity run free without worrying too much about the overall correctness of the piece. I did not use references for the pose and anatomy like I normally would.
